| About Yummy Steph & Kenan—twin sisters & business partners The apparel business is in our bones. Our great grandfather started Kafoury Designs in the 1930s and manufactured women’s fashion apparel. Our grandfather and father both kept the business and legacy alive and inspired a new generation. Inspired in Europe Designed and Created by Steph in Portland, Oregon I spent a number of years working in the advertising and athletic apparel industries in the US and Europe. That experience, coupled with my current passion—teaching yoga—is where I came up with the inspiration for Yummy. While living in Amsterdam I saw Dutch women wearing tube tops or bands over their clothes during pregnancy. This was new to me and I loved the European style that celebrated the precious tummy. I returned to the States to spend time with my twin sister who was pregnant. The idea–a top specifically designed for the tummy–was born. Yummy adds color and coverage while allowing you to accessorizes your existing wardrobe. Add an extra layer for a snug-tummy fit, and show off your greatest asset.
